Text: Genesis: 39
Joseph: A Man Who Came Through Trials Triumphantly
His brothers hated him and sold him into slavery for twenty pieces of silver. He was imprisoned and mistreated although he was innocent of all charges. He provided food to multitudes in a time of famine
Joseph: A Reminder of Jesus
Jesus was rejected by His own (Jn. 1:10-12) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Jesus sold for thirty pieces of silver (Matt. 26:15) And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
Jesus was faithful when tempted and has blessed multitudes (Matt. 4)
